Author Biography
Elizabeth Lenci-Downs

Elizabeth Lenci-Downs was born in Virginia, Minnesota within a mosaic of ethnic cultures, surrounded by woodlands, lakes and the ancient Laurentian Mountains.  Her European heritage enriches her writings and gives force to her paintings. She has been honored for her work with foreign students and her efforts against racial discrimination. She is a graduate of National Louis University and Columbia University with degrees in history, psychology and education. Since Lenci-Downs left teaching to become a professional artist and author she has been honored by her peers as 1995 YWCA Woman of the Year in Fine Arts, for Maricopa County, Arizona, and has received membership in the National League of American Pen Women, in Letters. She has two children and lives with her husband, Floyd L. Downs, in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Booksandauthors.net
